Globus Signage – Privacy Policy

Globus Infocom Limited ("Globus Infocom", "Globus", "we", "us", or "our") operates the Globus Signage application ("App") and the associated digital signage management platform ("Platform").

Globus Signage is a business and enterprise digital signage application designed for managed Android TV, Android TV Box, and other compatible signage display devices.

This Privacy Policy explains what information the Globus Signage App and Platform may collect, how that information is used, how it may be shared, and how it is protected.

1. Scope of the Application

The App may collect technical information about the device's network connection, including:

  • Network connection type
  • Network speed or connectivity information

This information is used for device monitoring, connectivity diagnostics, and service operation.

The pairing code is generated through the authorized Globus administration platform.

After successful pairing, the device may receive authentication credentials or an authentication token used for subsequent communication with the Globus Platform.

4. Authentication Information

After successful device pairing, the App may receive an authentication token, which may be a JSON Web Token (JWT).

The token is used to authenticate API requests made by the signage device.

The authentication information may contain or reference information required to identify the authorized display or device, such as:

  • Display identifier
  • Device identifier
  • Authentication-related claims

Authentication information is used for secure communication between the signage device and the Globus Platform.

The App does not use authentication tokens for advertising or marketing purposes.

The organization responsible for uploading content to the Platform is responsible for ensuring that it has the necessary rights and permissions to use such content.

8. Device Screenshots and Remote Screen Capture

The Globus Signage App may capture a screenshot of the current signage display when an authorized administrator requests a screenshot through the Globus Platform.

The screenshot process generally works as follows:

  1. An authorized administrator requests a screenshot.
  2. The Platform records the screenshot request.
  3. The signage device receives the request during communication with the Platform.
  4. The App captures the current signage display.

19. Device Management & Kiosk Functionality

Globus Signage is designed for use on organization-managed digital signage devices, including devices deployed in public or other controlled environments.

To provide the intended signage functionality, the App may use Android device-management capabilities to:

  • automatically launch the Globus Signage application after the device starts or restarts;
  • maintain the device in a dedicated signage or kiosk mode;
  • prevent unauthorized users from exiting the signage application or accessing restricted device settings and functionality;
  • allow authorized personnel to access protected administrative or management functionality using authentication credentials;
  • support device power-management operations, including supported sleep and wake-up functionality, where enabled and supported by the device;
